THE STORY OF DANIEL THE PROPHET

                 “But go thy way till the end be: for thou shalt rest and stand in thy
                                   lot at the end of the days.” Daniel 12:13.

               God’s  people are precious in his sight, and he


               who  touches  them  touches  the  apple  of  his


               eye. Rome first deprived the Jews of the right


               to worship, grinding that nation beneath the


               heel  of  oppression.  Then  Christ  came,  when


               the  oppression  was  the  most  severe,  that


               Rome might see God in human flesh. He came



               to  identify  himself  with  that  downtrodden


               people, and to show to men that God is always


               with the oppressed and enslaved. He came to


               illustrate  the  workings  of  the  Spirit  in  the


               human heart, and to prove that it is possible to
