               But  the  general  movement  respecting  the



               second advent of Christ, and the proclamation


               that “the hour of his Judgment is come,” was


               not  confined  to  this  hemisphere.  It  was


               worldwide.  It  fulfilled  in  this  respect  the


               proclamation of the angel “to every nation and


               kindred  and  tongue  and  people.”  In  Advent


               Tracts,  Vol.  II,  p.  135,  Mourant  Brock,  an


               English writer, is quoted as saying: —



               “It  is  not  merely  in  Great  Britain  that  the


               expectation  of  the  near  return  of  the


               Redeemer  is  entertained,  and  the  voice  of


               warning raised, but also in America, India, and


               on the continent of Europe. In America, about


               three hundred ministers of the word are thus


               preaching ‘this gospel of the kingdom;’ while
