There are actually three aspects of salvation:

1. Salvation of the Spirit - “If thou shalt

confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and

shalt believe in thine heart that God hath

raised him from the dead, thou shalt be

saved…For whosoever shall call upon the

name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans

10:9-13

2. Salvation of the Soul – Salvation of the

spirit is instantaneous and eternal, the

salvation of the soul (mind, will, and

emotions) is a continual process. It is

accomplished by engrafting God’s word into

your soul and thereby building a Biblical

belief system in your heart. As we are told, in

James 1:21b, “Receive with meekness the

engrafted word, which is able to save your

souls.” And in III John 2, “I wish above all

things that thou mayest prosper and be in

health, even as thy soul prospereth.”
