Dear Lord, there is

nothing that I want

more than to

approve that which is

most worthy, good,

acceptable, and

perfect, value what is

most valuable, and

treasure what is

most precious and

admire what is most

lovely and hate and abhor with a

loathsomeness that which is evil. I reckon

myself dead indeed to all that is unlike Thee,

all that is unspiritual, worldly, and deadening

to my soul. Deliver me from my soul-life and

renew my mind, will and emotions. Teach
