Eden and the new earth clasp hands in the

expression so oft repeated in the book of

Revelation, “I am Alpha and Omega, the

beginning and the end, the first and the last.”

“I know whom I have believed, and am

persuaded that He is able to keep that which I

have committed unto Him against that day.”

“Being confident of this very thing, that He

which hath begun a good work ...will perform

it until the day of Jesus Christ.” The work,

planned before the foundations of the earth

were laid, is accomplished without an

alteration, notwithstanding the introduction

of sin. The only difference there will be, is in

the strength of character which is developed
