THE STORY OF DANIEL THE PROPHET
Stephen N. Haskell
“But go thy way till the end be: for thou shalt rest and stand in thy
lot at the end of the days.” Daniel 12:13.
smoke shall they consume away.” Psalm
37:20.
Every sinner that clings to sin will be
destroyed with the sin. God has made
provision for every one to separate from sin,
that he may destroy the sin and save the
sinner. The burning fat upon the altar came up
as a sweet savor before God, for it represented
sin that had been separated from the sinner
and destroyed, while the sinner lived a new
life through Christ.
The sinner separated the fat from the
sacrifice; the priest received it and burned it,
illustrating the truth that we must co-operate
with the Lord; and through Christ who
strengthens us we can do all things.
