CHAPTER 1 - EARLY DAYS
Shortly after our marriage in 1958 and after joining L&G, I was appointed an Inspector and subsequently transferred to Lusaka in Northern Rhodesia (Zambia today)) in the capacity of General Manager Northern Rhodesia – big stuff!
Prior to us moving to Lusaka our son Peter was born on 5th March 1959 in Florida in Johannesburg, nearly 60 years ago; hard to believe! I must say I enjoyed his baby years in Lusaka where he was thoroughly spoilt by our neighbours who at the time didn’t have children of their own. I often found myself looking for Peter who was either at their house next door or out with them for a drive!
