the State of New York? Are you just starting a business and
wondering how to properly register your company? Do you know
what the penalties are for not properly registering your business?
This session will review the requirements for each business entity
to ensure that you are operating your surveying business legally
within New York State.

By the end of this session participants will learn:
1. The types of business entities that may be used for a surveying
practice in New York.
2. The requirements for registering a land surveying business with the
appropriate state agencies.
3. The penalties for not properly registering.

About the Presenter:
James E. Robinson, Esq. has been practicing law in the State
of New York for more than 30 years. During the first half of
his career his practice focused primarily on civil litigation.
He currently engages in a general business practice, including
work with design professionals related to the formation and
licensing of professional practice entities, and work with
software, information technology and similar companies
related to contracts and other business matters. Mr. Robinson
currently practices as a sole practitioner with offices in
Patchogue, NY.
