Strategic Planning Committee: The committee met on August 26th.
They discussed the Workforce Development Committee’s question Amber Carpenter
regarding task 1.1.5, focusing on aligning education curriculum with Managing Director
licensure and real-world requirements, and decided to flag this complex
issue for the next strategic retreat due to its scope and current committee
workload. They also prepared changes to the board and member polls to
be sent prior to the next retreat and discussed group activities and welcome
gifts for the retreat. Their next meeting is scheduled September 23rd.
Workforce Development Committee: The committee met on August

working on a new high school booklet/brochure to promote the
profession of land surveying in schools. In early August, they sent an
invitation to each of the BOCES superintendents to reach out for
presentations and demonstrations about the career opportunities in land
surveying. We’ve already received several responses. If you can assist with
