Meeting called to order at 2:03 p.m. by President Roy Garfinkel. I. Appointment of Tellers Committee
• MOTION BY GERARD EMBROSKI TO APPOINT ASHLEY HARRISON TO CHAIR

SECONDED BY JOHN ABRUZZO, ALL IN FAVOR, NONE OPPOSED.

Executive Vice President Jeremy E. Thompson • Minutes of the last Board of Directors meeting, Financial Reports, and
Vice President Absent Committee Reports/Minutes were included in the handouts distributed prior
Treasurer Scott A. Gillis to the meeting and are typically all moved under a Consent Calendar format.
Secretary Scott B. Allen Motion to accept the Consent Calendar was made by Scott Gillis, seconded
by Brie Meisler, all in favor, none opposed, motion carried.

Catskill Absent • Roy spoke about the roundtable he attended at the September NYS GIS
Central Absent Association’s GeoCon in relation to our quest to have NYS DOT Appropriation
City Saeid Jalilvand, Lemuel Morrison Maps made available online, and other issues related to online access to
Delaware-Hudson Absent government documents. Among the roundtable members were representatives
Eastern Brie Meisler from NYSAPLS (Roy, Jim Thew), NYS GISA, NYS DOT, NYS Canal Corporation,
Genesee Valley Absent Committee for Open Government, NYS DEC, NYS Office of Information
Long Island John Abruzzo Technology, NYS Association of County Clerks, NYS Conference of Mayors.
Mid-Hudson Nicole Kalicicki • Roy also spoke about his attendance at some of our committee meetings.
Mohawk Valley Jeffrey Moore
Nassau Suffolk Scott Gillis • Roy will be attending the New Hampshire Land Surveyors annual conference
Niagara Frontier Joshua Graf in December.
Northern Owen Littlefield • Roy noted that this is his last President’s report and thanked everyone for

Southern Tier Brian Bush • Roy asked for a motion to accept his appointment of Timothy O’Connor to
Queensboro Absent serve on the Constitution and Bylaws Committee. MOTION BY JOSHUA

Finance Scott Gillis It was asked that Regional Directors contact unpaid members from their
Young Professionals Keith Burley regions and encourage them to renew their memberships.
Legislative Absent • Five successful events have been held this fall: Two First Friday webinars, two
Ad hoc MTS Jason Larson half-day fall webinars, and the LS Exam Review workshop. The next webinar
LSPAC Absent is scheduled for December 1st and will be on Workers Comp.

Membership Absent • The next Second Showing of a First Friday webinar will be held Thursday
Member Guests: Ashley Harrison – Tellers Committee March 7th 2024 at 7:00 p.m.
Other Guests: None • Our accountant is working on our annual review. They filed an extension for
our tax return filing.
