Alumni Spotlight:
Meet Mitch Mears (under the welding helmet), who was a
KEC welding student in 2016 - 2017. After high school, Mitch
continued his welding education at Kishwaukee College and
was employed as a student-worker while finishing his course
work, which earned him an AWS certification. After college,
Mitch worked in custom fabrication with Nuthouse and
Almburg. He is currently an adjunct instructor in the welding
education program at Kishwaukee College. Mitch also does
contract work with Midway Mobile Welding. If you see Mitch,
he will tell you, "I went to KEC."
