“The clouds that cover sunshine cannot banish the sun. The sweetest rest comes after a wearisome day.
We must live through the dreary winter if we want to witness the spring. The sweetest and warmest
sunshine comes after the storm and the gloom.”
               What. A. Year!
At this time of the last year none of us might have imagined that we would find ourselves in such a position,
but still here we are making the best of a really difficult situation. One thing this lockdown has taught us is
that in times of crisis we turn to art to fend off boredom. Art in the form of films, music, literature, etc. So we,
here at the editorial board thought, “Why should the fun stop?” After all, any stressful situation can be
leveraged as an opportunity to elevate your leadership to the next level.

This year, our jobs were a little difficult than usual because as the game changed, the way to play the game
must change too. So we bring to you the 2020 RV E-Magazine!
Every year, in this part of the magazine the words “The past few months have been quite eventful” can be
seen before addressing the relevant worldly matters. This time, those words turn into vast
               understatement to say the least.

This year taught us the importance of good leadership; leadership in the field of science, in work,
environment and challenges in tackling this situation of new normal. It was the leadership of Jacinda
Ardern, the Prime Minister of New Zealand, who managed to set an example for others by eliminating the
spread of virus in her country.
This year, more than any other, we understood the meaning and the importance of life. The lives of the
Bravehearts (the soldiers of our Indian Army fighting for our lives at the borders),migrant workers of our
country got aid from Bollywood actor Sonu Sood (to go home and to get employment) and the lives of
animals (citizens of Australia risking their lives to protect the wildlife from the fires that burned their
continent down). Amid the COVID-19 crisis we saw doctors, nurses, hospital staffs, sweepers, bank
employees , policemen and my other frontline warriors , doing tireless work even at the cost of their lives to
               ensure the wellbeing of others.

Lets not forget about us, the lives of the students. The students who were supposed to give their board
exams this year lived in uncertainty for a very long time, waiting for the council to find a solution, but amidst
all of this our students managed to achieve laurels nonetheless. Omisha Shree topped in our school in ICSE
exams by scoring a whopping 98.6%, while Ayush Kumar managed to score an amazing 99.5% in ISC Science
Stream! Supreeti Kumari secured AIR 393 in Advance. How great is that!
Even after all the chaos and tension our teachers never stepped back from their responsibilities. For them
it was a huge challenge to get to know about the working of smartphones so as to continue teaching via
online sources. Thanks to the teachers for never giving up hope and teaching us in every way possible.
So cheers to the struggles we face right now and the struggles ahead!
We will face it. We will fight it. At the end of the day, we will emerge victorious with our heads held high.
               We are RVians after all.
