Spring 2018
WILLIAM CAPE NEWS
Welcome
By Melinda Boyd
Welcome to our Spring newsletter. This is my first, as the new Residents enjoying lamington-making
Director of Care Services.
Firstly, I would like to thank everyone for making me feel so welcome
into your home. I haven’t yet met all residents, families and staff but
plan to meet and chat with as many people as possible over the
coming weeks. My door is always open, so when passing my office or
when you see me, please say "hi". I am always really keen to hear
your ideas on how we can improve on our beautiful William Cape
Gardens, the care we provide and the fun things everyone enjoys
doing. We also have recently appointed Sally and Collette into the Enjoying the Zumba Classes
Clinical Care Manager roles. Sally and Collette are always available to
chat with you about your health and wellbeing. Over the next few
months, Sally and Collette will be contacting families to organise a
"family conference", this provides you with another forum to discuss
your loved ones' health and wellbeing, so please remember you can
come and talk to Sally, Collette or the Registered Nurses at any time.
We will be celebrating William Cape Gardens' 11th birthday on the
25th September. Other events happening in coming weeks include;
our Wine and Cheese Festival in September and Pets Day in October.
Residents & Staff at the Queen's Birthday
September is the month for sporting finals. Good luck to all our family Celebration
members who are participating in finals. I am sure we will be wearing
our footy team's colours in September, as well as celebrating the NRL
and AFL Grand Finals. Fingers crossed my beloved Dragons will still be
there!
Until with next time, take care.
With warm wishes
