4 Oct Noel S.
6 Oct Claire W. William Cape Gardens' local resident, Patricia Chambers and her
8 Oct Robert S. husband Ray are proud founders of the Toukley Pre School
8 Oct Joan H. Kindergarten, on the Central Coast, having established this in 1963. The
15 Oct Patricia C. Toukley pre School originally opened its doors in an old progress hall to
31 Oct Betty C. begin with, and ended up doing so well that the Council offered to take
it over. The Council then approached Patricia to enquire, if they built a
November new building, whether she would she stay on as Director. Patricia gladly
2 Nov David F. accepted and went on to subsequently enjoy every minute of her role
3 Nov Graham C. as Director there.
4 Nov Terrance B.
17 Nov Maria B. Patricia moved to William Cape Gardens recently and has been enjoying
20 Nov Shirley T. her time at the residence. There are some close connections to Toukley
24 Nov Jean C. pre School, with fellow William Cape Gardens staff member, Sherry and
24 Nov Mary W. her brother Jason having also attended the pre School, in their youth.
Sandra, (another staff member) also put her children through the pre
School!
Nowadays, Patricia feels blessed to have two very supportive children
and their partners who make every day special in her life. Patricia is
currently enjoying being at William Cape Gardens, participating in the
activities and making lots of new friends. She says that she has never
met such friendly and helpful people as the staff at William Cape
Gardens!
