AUTUMN 2022
BAYSWATER NEWS
Welcome
By Annette Swerydow
Hello and welcome to Autumn. Congratulations Bayswater
Gardens on our 5th birthday which we celebrated on 14
February. It was a beautiful day and we had a great time
outside overlooking the bay. The entertainment was great, Wendy, Judith and Mary having a ball
especially the caricature drawings of the residents and staff!
I’m pleased to see all our residents are fully boostered
against COVID‐19 and have been kept safe over the Summer
period while the number of people catching COVID‐19 in the
community was scary to say the least. Our floor staff,
especially the carers and nurses had a lot to do with keeping
you all safe and it’s thanks to all of them for ensuring all
infection prevention control procedures were done properly.
I’d like to say a special thanks to all the staff who worked
during the holiday season lockdown. This was one of the
hardest periods ever experienced in Aged Care across the Vince enjoying Australia Day
state. Never had I seen or heard of staffing so critical. The
staff always put the resident’s health and wellbeing above
everything else they had to do and I’d like to thank all the
residents, family and friends for their understanding and
support during that time. We have employed three new
Registered Nurses over the last few weeks. Ebuka, Harpreet
and Yun. Two are new graduates who will be supported by
the Cranbrook Care New Graduate Program. We have also
managed to secure seven new carers to our team too.
Please remember that my door is always open if you need Barbara and Arthur at our Valentine’s
any assistance with anything. couple’s lunch
