Summer 2018
BAYSWATER NEWS
Welcome
By Lisa Forbes
Hello Everyone,
Welcome residents and families to our December 2018 Bayswater
Gardens Newsletter. For new residents and families this will be your Indian Independence Day Celebrations
first newsletter and I hope you are enjoying your new home and
settling in well. The Enhanced Services events have been well
attended with residents and families enjoying Pets on the Lawn and
the Wine and Cheese Pairing. One of our Spring Series, Jersey Boys
was also a great hit with 15 residents that attended. The Leisure and
Lifestyle program is constantly reviewed to ensure the varied
preferences of our residents for music, dance, art, craft, exercise and
intellectual stimulation are met. Obtaining feedback is essential and
appreciated to continually fine-tune our Leisure and Lifestyle Residents at the Melbourne Cup Day Event
calendar.
We are deeply committed to recruiting the right staff as well as to
retaining the team. The recent introduction of our Reward &
Recognition Program is one way we can provide a genuine
acknowledgement to staff linked to one of Cranbrook Care’s six
values. Staff members can also acknowledge each other for living the
Cranbrook Care values. The rewards for the team include monthly
Standing Ovations where staff are thanked and rewarded with a gift
card. Team members can also be nominated for the end of year
Limelight Awards. There is a wide range of retail outlets that offer Residents at the Music Therapy Classes
staff with discounts including travel, fashion, to name a few.
As you are aware we have recently welcomed Benjamin Scott as the
Director of Care Services, and you can read more about him on the
back page. On a personal note I wish to express my gratitude to being
a part of your lives, and thank you for our meaningful interactions. I
have truly enjoyed being part of the team.
With warm wishes
