Autumn 2019
WILLIAM CAPE NEWS
Welcome

Hello Everyone, Staff Christmas Party at Wyong Race Club
With the new year well and truly upon us, I encourage you to continue
to focus on what is really important to you and to set yourself at least
one goal for the year ahead. For me personally, I would like to
participate in my fourth “City to Surf”!
At the end of 2018, we ushered in the Christmas season in style, with
our celebrations lasting the entire month of December! Staff dressed
up in Disco outfits for the Christmas Party held at the Wyong Race
Club. We thoroughly enjoyed getting into the Christmas spirit.
Resident and Relative's Christmas Luncheon
With the Standing Ovation Awards now firmly in place, each month
we will select six staff members (who embody the Cranbrook Care
core values) to receive the Award. The annual Limelight Awards also
means that three outstanding staff members will be selected – to be
awarded $500 at the end of each year for their contributions. For
2018, our Limelight Award winners were Brian, Monica and Suresh –
congratulations! There is a lot planned for 2019 including our annual
Accreditation. Once our self-assessment documentation is submitted,
the Quality Agency will conduct a three-day unannounced visit. In the
past, the dates would be scheduled by the Agency and we would know Residents enjoying Australia Day Celebrations
in advance. It will now be conducted without prior notice. The
Accreditation process gives us the opportunity to showcase our
residence, and for the Agency to meet with all our residents, visitors
and staff. Please be reminded that my door is always open for you to
stop by and chat to me with your concerns. The “My Thoughts” forms
are always available for you to fill in — these are located in and
around the residence.
Until next time,
Concert performance
