            April
            2 Apr Daphne J.
3 Apr Carol P. Thelma is currently a resident at William Cape Gardens. She was born
6 Apr Elaine B. on 28 December 1924 in Catherine Hill Bay, New South Wales — one of
7 Apr Judith B. four children, with an older brother and sister (Ivan and Mavis) and a
7 Apr Ann S. younger brother (Spencer). Thelma attended school locally, riding her
9 Apr Catherine O. bike to and from school every day come rain, hail or shine. Her father
11 Apr Lillian V. worked in the mines, while her mum was a stay-at-home mum.
            14 Apr Elizabeth S.
14 Apr Joan M. Tragically, in 1936, after a large fire swept through the coast, Thelma’s
18 Apr Shirley V. family lost their home and were forced to move to Wyong. Some of the
jobs and positions that Thelma has held over the years include a
21 Apr John D. cleaning role at the local newspaper, The Advocate, where she worked
25 Apr Shirley T. during her teenage years. She also worked in a factory at Gosford,
27 Apr Phillip G. making trousers. Thelma recalls vividly how the stationmaster at the
28 Apr Cecil C. train station used to ring through to let them know when a goods train
28 Apr June C. was coming to take them home to Wyong Station. Thelma was
29 Apr Cecilly G. employed at this factory for a good few years, until moving on to work
at Holand Fruit Shop for 26 years.
            May
8 May Estelle P. Thelma met her husband, Allan in 1943 and they married in 1950. As a
            19 May            Ernest H.           couple they used to enjoy playing golf and tennis together regularly;
19 May Josephine S. making a lot of friends all the while. They also relished short leisure trips
27 May Fred B. away (to various locations) together, in their later years.
            28 May Judith D.
28 May Janet C. Since Allan has passed, Thelma has still kept up with her tennis and golf.
She is thankful for her loving family, consisting of multiple nieces and
28 May Lillian A. nephews who visit her regularly over at William Cape Gardens
            29 May Valerie F. residence.
            30 May Iboyla W.
