Meet Jasmine Green

As a child, Jasmine didn’t run away and join the circus. Instead,
21 March Joan L. Ashton’s circus took her on tour as a member of their children’s star
dance troupe. Jasmine was thirteen years old when she travelled with
24 March Kenneth C. the show to many parts of Australia and performed under the famous
big top. It was an exhilarating reward for her dedication to ballet and

Back in her hometown of Melbourne, Jasmine, over the next few years

began to teach dance and physical education at a number of high

8 April schools. As often as not, her students were older than herself! During
Margaret McC. this time she also developed a passion for choreography. From her
9 April Wai L. mid‐teens through to her early twenties, Jasmine created numerous
routines for marching bands, pantomime acts, high school

13 April Lorna H. Then the time came when Jasmine attended a social function, little
realising that it would be a life‐changing occasion. It was at this event
17 April Gwendoline L. that she met her future husband, Trevor, who was visiting from
Sydney. It was a classic case of love at first sight. Following a whirlwind

romance, Trevor asked Jasmine to marry him exactly one week after
May they first met. After a short engagement, they were married in
Melbourne on the second last day of the autumn of 1964.

Jasmine then relocated to Sydney, where she thrived as a full‐time
