Asseen is an old
handicraft practiced by

Omani women to embroider women’s
dresses in different patterns and colours.
The materials used in this craft consist of
shining silver, gold and other threads of diffe-
rent colours. The tools consist of a bag filled with
sand, and a long cylinder.
Assen 6 , 7 , and 8 are the number of moulds

used in the work. Asseen is weaved in diffe-
rent patterns and colours according to
type of the dantel.
