you will be warmly welcomed by a bilingual guide who will take you through the different sections of the cellar and complete the tour by enjoying panoramic views of the vineyards. The tour is not complete without indulging in a wine tasting to savor the different flavors you’ve been learning about on the tour. After working up your appetite, you’ll be taken to Restaurant Equilibrio to browse and enjoy a delicious lunch menu. [B/L/W]
Day 4: Santiago, Pucón
Transfer f rom your hotel to Santiago’s airport to board your flight to Temuco, in Chile’s Lake Region, from where you’ll be transferred to your hotel in Pucón located 55 miles from the airport. [B/D]
Day 5: Pucón (Villarrica Volcano)
Today we will start our journey visiting the Villarrica Volcano, famous world- wide for being one of the most active in Chile and in all of South America. Our vehicle will climb up to 4,100 feet above sea level, where the ski center is located, to enjoy the incredible pan- oramic views of the Llaima volcano and the Villarrica, Calafquén and Huilipilún lakes. There we will have free time to take pictures and tour the
sector. Then, return the hotel for dinner and overnight. [B/D]
Day 6: Pucón (Conguillio National Park)
The town of Melipeuco, 77 miles from Pucón, is where we start the trip to one of the most relevant places in the region: The Conguillio National Park. The park is characterized by its mas- sive forests, and here we mainly see araucarias, along with other species, as well as pure and crystal-clear waters lakes; amongst the main park’s attractions we could mention the Llaima Volcano, the Green, Rainbow, Captrén and Quepe lagoons. The Conguillio Lake (located at the foot of
the Sierra Nevada Glacier and framed by abundant native vegetation. Objects found in the area and innumerous indigenous names for places the former presence of Pehuenche people. Here we find six excursion footpaths leading to as many breathtaking places and points of view. Some of the animals we can see here are the Little Bush Monkey, world’s smallest marsupial, the Condor, the eaglet and several types of water birds. Lava paths were naturally formed by flows of lava that came down during one of the many LLaima’s eruptions, this volcano is 10,265 feet above sea level, providing a great view of the national park and of the amazing lava formations which
are hardly seen in any other part of the world. Return to Pucón for dinner and overnight. [B/D]
Day 7: Pucón, Santiago
After breakfast, transfer to Temuco airport for your flight to Santiago. On arrival take the Hilton Garden shuttle van to the hotel. [B]
Day 8: Santiago, USA
To leave the hotel, please arrange your transfer out directly with hotel recep- tion in order to get the best time according to your departure flight. [B]
