Day 4, Mon: Serengeti
After breakfast enjoy a day of game driving (meals taken in true safari style ‘in the bush’) in the vast and sensa- tional Serengeti, which covers
3,648,016 acres of endlessly rolling savannah. Venue for ‘the greatest wildlife show on Earth’, the annual migration of over one million wilde- beest, the park is also renowned for its lions, cheetahs, zebras, giraffes and plains game. Overnight at the lodge. [B/L/D]
Day 5, Tue: Serengeti, Great Rift, Lake Manyara
After breakfast drive to beautiful Lake Manyara, a shallow alkaline lake that shimmers in a cleft in the Great Rift Valley. Arrive in time for lunch at the
Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge, which stands on the edge of the escarpment, overlooking the lake. Enjoy an afternoon game drive in Lake Manyara National Park. A small but uniquely diverse national park, Manyara is home to the world-famous tree-climbing lions, thousands of flamingoes and nearly 500 species of birds. Return to the lodge thereafter. Dinner will be served in the elegant central dining room. Overnight at the lodge. [B/LD]
Day 6, Wed: Lake Manyara,
After breakfast, drive back to Arusha, Tanzania’s ‘Safari Town’, in time for lunch then board your afternoon shuttle back to Nairobi. [B/L]
