Enjoy the breathtaking views over the Southern Ocean and stop for a little rainforest walk to appreciate the cool climate and heavy rain that this region enjoys. We will treat you to a light lunch and the chance to chat to your fellow travelers. Later in the day, head towards the limestone rock formations otherwise known as the 12 Apostles. Nearby you will discover another ancient natural attraction; Loch Ard Gorge where you will hear the story of the shipwreck and its survivors. Dip your feet in the water at the Gorge’s quaint beach and you will never want to leave. But alas, it’s time to return to Melbourne. [B/L]
Day 8: Melbourne, Ayers Rock
Private departure transfer f rom hotel to Melbourne airport. (Flight not included). Arrive Ayers Rock, transfer to the hotel by courtesy shuttle bus of the resort. Accommodation. Join the seat-in-coach Uluru Sunset tour. Travel to the Uluru sunset viewing area. Enjoy nibbles and a glass of wine as the sun sets over the western horizon and the evening sky brings out the many shades of color for which Uluru is famous. Don't forget your camera! It is recommended to photo- graph Uluru every 5 minutes to really
capture the gradual changes of the rock. Tour concludes approximately 30 minutes after sunset, at which time hotel drop offs will commence. [B]
Day 9: Ayers Rock, Cairns
Enjoy a warming cup of tea or coffee as the first rays of sunlight slowly change the color of Uluru. Then travel to the mystical domes of Kata Tjuta (the Olgas). Walk through Walpa Gorge, where the trail follows the natural creek bed between two of the tallest domes. Spend time exploring the gorge and the unusual conglomerate
equipment, informative ecological presentations by qualified Marine Biologists and guided nature tours of the island and bird sanctuary. [B/L]
Day 11: Cairns (Kuranda)
Experience the contrast of the region’s oldest railway and the world’s most beautiful Cableway, knowing that we have taken care of all the details with our Kuranda Boarding Pass. Tjapukai is our first stop this morning and includes lunch. Then board Skyrail Rainforest Cableway for your journey over and through World Heritage protected rainforest, before some f ree time in Kuranda. Avoid the ticketing lines before boarding the famous Kuranda Scenic Rail, our Kuranda. Boarding Pass ensures you will have preferential seating. [B/L]
Day 12: Cairns, Sydney

Day 10: Cairns (Great Barrier Reef Cruise)
Included today is a Cruise to Michaelmas Cay on the Great Barrier Reef. A low-lying vegetated sand cay encircle by a spectacular f ringing reef, Michaelmas Cay is a National Park and a protected sanctuary for migratory seabirds.
