Dear reader,

We are still in a difficult time. Good news and bad news alternate. Decrease of new cases, incre-
ase again. Some countries are facing a hugh amount of increases last weeks.
But there is a possible end of the Pandemic to be seen! The vaccinations are all over Europe in-
creasing and it is summer. We really hope to have a new normal situation after summer holiday
in all countries.
Some schools started Class Band lessons just before summer holiday and it was doable.
In these times of working at home I have much time to think about the development of Class
Band and Strings Class, our latest project. To keep in touch with our teachers and key teachers
Internet is a good tool. Zoom, TEAMS, Whatsapp, Mail and so on.
Our dedicated Facebook group for Class Band Teachers is used to share knowledge and experi-
ences and music.

The new brochures are being translated in different languages and still working on some langua-
ges. The Spanish and Italian versions are ready.
Also a dedicated website is in progress!

What does music mean for human being? Can we imagine a life without music? The answer is
‘NO’. Life without music is not imaginable for me and I think also for you.

During these times I started to play the Bass Guitar. This instrument can be a part of Class Band
and therefore I like to know more about it. As I also play guitar since many years it was not that
difficult.
It is so nice to do! I like it very much. It is always good for a Class Band teacher (or any musician)
to try a new instrument. To learn again how to play from the very beginning. How it is to be a be-
ginner! This will learn you to feel like your students.
That is what we also do in our semninars: take an unkown instrument and learn the first notes.
See how easy it can be!
Everybody can make music. Everybody can play in one way or another. It is not important to reach
the highest level, it is important to reach the highest level of pleasure and happiness!
That’s what it is all about!
