The highlight of 2017 was the Canadian OO Dinner held on 30th October in Toronto, Ontario, at the Albany Club. Our guest of honour was the School Head, Sarah Kerr-Dineen, who visited us as part of a North American tour. She was accompanied by her husband, Anthony. She gave an excellent speech with news and updates from Oundle. In attendance were John

Daughter #1 Lisajane is a policy analyst with the Government of Alberta and daughter #2 Julianne will be starting her final year reading English at the University of Toronto prior to starting law school.
Michael Bamford (Lx 51) is still living in beautiful Sydney, BC, on Vancouver Island and is enjoying the area with its good access to the jewels of Victoria without having to live with big city conditions. His update since last year is the sad news that his wife, Margot, died after some years of poor health, but after 60 years of marriage.
John Foster has authored a book on oil and world politics and, to his delight, Toronto publishing house Lorimer will publish it in October. The book exposes the petroleum geopolitics behind world conflicts today in Iraq, Afghanistan, Russia, Syria, Ukraine, Venezuela and more. Here’s the link: http://www.lorimer.ca/adults/ Book/3068/Oil-and-World-Politics.html. He and his wife, Millie, continue to enjoy Kingston, Ontario. He remains active in the Canadian Club of Kingston, which holds monthly luncheons with guest speakers, and in the Kingston Choral Society, with several concerts during the year. They spent a fascinating week in South-West Ontario, where she gave a talk on one- room schools and Ontario history, and they visited a small one-room school and oil museums. They also visited family in Toronto and Vancouver, and were all set to visit the UK for a family
