party when she tripped at home, suffering minor pelvis cracks. She is mending day-by-day and is much recovered. They did visit the UK the previous autumn (2017), seeing Scottish castles and celebrating his sister Gillian’s birthday in London at a luncheon hosted by his brother, Robert
Foster (Sc 61). As for other OOs sighted, John enjoyed seeing a goodly number at the Canadian OO Dinner. At the time of writing, he and Michael Bell
(Lx 48) were planning their annual summer lunch in Brockville, halfway between their respective homes in Ottawa and Kingston. He says it was a pleasure to contribute to The Old Oundelian with so much news of OOs in Canada, but it was high time, after
11 years, to pass the baton. He only meant to do it for two years! Meanwhile, Michael was kind enough to contact me to introduce himself, to say hello and to let us know that there is no new news worth reporting.
We are pleased to welcome Peter
Bubenzer (D 74) to Canada from Bermuda. While there are some who regard this move with incredulity, he reports it is true and entirely voluntary! He now lives in Parksville, BC, on the eastern shores of Vancouver Island. While Peter is now an additional 1,500 miles from Oundle and the UK, neither is forgotten and, of course, nor is Bermuda.
After being very active with the OOs in Canada, Nigel Napier-Andrews has
let us know that he and his wife, Diane, will be departing from Toronto next spring, first to their Yorkshire house and finally to Cheltenham. After 53 years they are going home!
Finally, your correspondent and wife Julie continue to live in and enjoy Calgary, Alberta. Calgary is hugely dependent upon the oil and gas business, and we are selfishly pleased to see that oil prices have moved upward somewhat and stabilized. Son Mack moved to London six years ago to attend the LSE. He is now working for the government in the Department for International Trade. Daughter Lindsay is working for Imperial Oil, part of the Exxon Group, as a contract negotiator.

I am delighted with this recognition of my 20 years of past services. It will motivate me to do even more to build cultural and commercial understanding between Poland and Great Britain. George Cautherley (B 61) writes that an informal Bramston “geriatrics group” managed two very convivial meetings during the past 12 months, lunching at The Swan in Denham, as usual. While they added three OOs to the group during the year – namely John Sandell (B 60), Helmut Cartwright (B 62) and Tony Skelton (B 62) – sadly they lost one of their regulars, with the passing of Andrew Bremner (B 61), earlier this

year. In January, George was very pleased to have been able to meet up with Ian McAlpine (Ldr 60) and Howard Stringer (Ldr 60), whom he had not seen since they all left Oundle, at an event in London.
James Ginns (Sc 87) and his family moved in August 2017 to London, from where he now looks after Cathay Pacific in the UK and Europe. He says it was good to get back on the touchline for
