From May 2018, if your business operates a Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) system you will need to comply with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) which replaces the Data Protection Act 1998.The recorded images, whether taken inside or outside of your premises, are classed as ‘personal data’ and under the Act you must tell people that they are being collected.
