Art For Recovery – Children’s Hospitals







                One of the first scientific studies of art
                preferences of school children and
                hospitalised paediatric patients found that,
                across all age groups that were studied (5-17
                years) and genders, a great majority of
                children preferred nature art over abstract or
                cartoon-like images.
























                                                                                                        These findings refute assumptions on children’s art
                                                                                                        preferences, which lead to abstract or cartoon-
                                                                                                        like images being recommended for health care
                                                                                                        spaces.
