make them feel more welcoming. Viewing nature can
have a powerful effect on patients’ recuperation rate.
In a study , patients who could see nature from their

window, compared with patients who looked at a wall,
required half the amount of strong or moderate
painkillers in the 2 to 5 days after an operation.

Viewing nature literally took the pain away.
