Appendix 1 - Hand Strips

How do we use hand strips?

First, we photocopy the page or pages we are interested in. We are
going to say that it is “our first hand” shown below. We then take the
copy cut it into 4 along the vertical dash marks.

We decide who is going to be North and hand the piece marked
North to that player. We then give the East part to the player on his left
and so on around the table. Here is the North slip -
We then each take one suit from a suited pack
Hand 1 - North of cards and take out the cards on our slip and
pass the rest clockwise. You repeat this two more

When you get the last suit just check you have
Ë 10 5 3 the correct cards and no one has made a mistake.

Now you will all have the correct 13 cards,
play the hand.

Please note that we have tried very hard to make sure that each hand is
shown correctly, however, if we got it wrong please check the next
appendix where any error should be obvious.
