Review
Trumps are more difficult to play than notrump.
Most of the time we draw enough trumps to take away the opponents
trumps. This stops the opponents trumping (ruffing) our Aces.
In notrump contracts we make C. A. M. P.
In trumps we keep C. A. L. M.
The most important thing when playing a trump contract is to check
your losers. In early 2016 we started checking hands where the trump
contract went down when it could have been made. In every case it was
because the declarer did not count the play losers.
Finally remember the crossruff technique where we make our trumps
separately.
In a crossruff hand cash your side suit winners first.
