welcome

Dear Friends and Patrons:

Welcome to Ives Concert Park, Western
Connecticut’s entertainment destination,
where the beauty of nature creates an
inspiring backdrop for the performing
arts. There are 40 acres of preserved
land that include hiking trails, a lovely
pond and beautiful gardens. As you
enter Ives Concert Park, our volunteer
ambassadors and staff are here to help
you navigate the park and enjoy the Ives experience.

Celebrating 43 years of exceptional artistic and cultural experiences, Ives brings the region to life
by providing a nationally recognized forum for extraordinary arts and culture while invigorating
the local economy. Named for famed local composer Charles Edward Ives, the venue pays
tribute to its storied roots in classical music while acknowledging the ongoing evolution of
the art of live performance. With entertainment that ranges from enlightening to breathtaking,
Ives reflects the diverse multicultural community in which it resides and embraces the various
attributes that performers and patrons bring to the site. The combination of performing arts and
nature attracts many fans to the Ives; their experiences here keep them coming back.

Our nonprofit organization, The Charles Ives Authority for the Performing Arts, touches the
lives of countless individuals and captures our community’s creative vision with passion, spirit
and imagination. A very special thank you to our partners, the City of Danbury and Western
Connecticut State University, which are vital in our continual commitment to providing cultural
enrichment for the entire community.

We would not be able to operate without the help of our many volunteer Ambassadors, our
volunteer Board of Directors and our dedicated staff. We thank them for their commitment
to Ives and sharing their time and talents with our nonprofit organization. It is with their
efforts, and of our many generous sponsors and partners, that we are able to bring affordable
entertainment to you in this remarkable setting. We are always looking for more volunteers and
those who see the benefits of investing in our nonprofit organization. To become involved, you
can reach us at info@ivesconcertpark.com.

If this is the first season you have discovered and explored the Ives, we hope you spread the
word about our beautiful venue and return. This is truly an exceptional place to make lasting
memories. Join us as we reach out to all segments of our society and unite diverse residents
to celebrate the arts. Our shared vision encourages us to invigorate this remarkable community
asset so it will grow and prosper for many years to come.
