Keynote Speaker
Bryan Stringer, MD ‘18
Dr. Bryan Stringer grew up in Orillia, Ontario, and began his academic journey at Western University, where he
earned a Bachelor of Medical Sciences degree. In September 2014, he enrolled at AUC, where he became
deeply involved in student life and volunteer work. He was an active member of several campus initiatives,
including the White and Yellow Cross committee, and served as a tutor and teaching assistant for multiple
courses. Dr. Stringer graduated from AUC in 2018, receiving multiple departmental awards in anatomy,
physiology, pathology, and immunology, as well as an award for overall academic achievement.
He went on to complete his internal medicine residency at the University of Connecticut, where he was
selected for—and honored to serve in—an additional year as Chief Medical Resident. Following his training in
the U.S., Dr. Stringer made his way back to Canada to complete a three-year cardiology residency at Western
University. During this time, he was humbled to receive awards in teaching, patient care, and research. He is
now a fellow in cardiac electrophysiology at Western and a practicing general cardiologist. Alongside his
medical journey, his greatest joy remains his family—he is married to his best friend and is the proud father of
two wonderful little boys.
Quote:
“My experience at AUC shaped not only the physician I’ve become, but the person as well. It was a place
of growth, resilience, and connection—where I formed lifelong friendships and developed the clinical and
human skills that guide me every day in practice. The foundation I built at AUC continues to support me
through every step of this incredible journey.”
