SEAN JOHNSON, MD '11

        Dr. Sean D. Johnson, MD, FACS, is a distinguished cardiothoracic surgeon and a 2011 graduate of
        the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine (AUC). Currently practicing at HCA
        Florida Heart and Vascular Care in Margate and Plantation, Florida, Dr. Johnson is board certified in
        both general surgery and thoracic and cardiac surgery. His clinical expertise encompasses adult cardiac
        surgery, minimally invasive thoracic surgery, and complex cardiovascular procedures.

        Dr. Johnson's medical journey includes a general surgery residency at Kendall Regional Medical Center
        in Miami, Florida, followed by a cardiothoracic surgery fellowship at the University of Kentucky
        Chandler Hospital and Veterans Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. He also completed a minimally
        invasive surgery and bariatric research fellowship at Cleveland Clinic Florida. Throughout his training,
        Dr. Johnson held several leadership roles, including Chief Surgical Resident and Chief Surgical Fellow,
        and contributed to multiple research publications and presentations in the field of surgery.
        In recognition of his commitment to excellence and service, Dr. Johnson has received numerous
        honors and awards, such as the Patient Care Award and the Leadership & Appreciation Award from
        the Christian Medical & Dental Associations. His dedication to patient care and surgical innovation
        continues to make a significant impact in the field of cardiothoracic surgery.
