KEYNOTE ADDRESS
Brian Temple, MD ’05, MS, FACP
Dr. Temple is a board-certified Infectious Disease Physician with
Advocate Health Care in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Additionally, Dr.
Temple is the Medical Chief of Staff (President of the Medical Staff
Leadership Council), Medical Director of Antibiotic Stewardship, and
the Chair of the Infection Prevention Committee at Aurora Hospital,
also located in Oshkosh, WI.
Dr. Temple attended Farleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey,
where he graduated with honors with a B.S. and M.S. in Biology,
with a minor in Chemistry and a concentration in Biotechnology.
Upon graduation from Ross University School of Medicine in 2005,
Dr. Temple completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center Plainfield,
New Jersey. Soon after, Dr. Temple pursued a Fellowship at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in
Infectious Disease (I.D.). During this period, Dr. Temple received exposure to patients with extreme pathologies
while working with the Mississippi Department of Health.
Dr. Temple continued to pursue a Fellowship at The Warren Alpert Medical School at Brown University,
where he excelled in research, working with researchers worldwide, specifically during the B.I.A.R.I (Brown
International Advanced Research Institute). He also initiated a research program at Connaught Hospital in
Freetown, Sierra Leone, providing care for H.I.V. and tuberculosis co-infected patients in the country’s largest
clinic. After completing his Fellowship at Brown, Dr. Temple accepted an academic appointment at Texas Tech
University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, Texas.
Since 2014, Dr. Temple has practiced medicine in Wisconsin, treating all forms of infectious diseases,
including T.B., H.O.V., COVID-19, complicated U.T.I., and bloodstream infections.
Dr. Temple loves spending time with his beautiful wife and 19-month-old son in his spare time. The family is
excited to be welcoming a daughter in October. He also enjoys traveling, reading, and working out.
