Making a Difference Together – Our Shared

               Mission and Responsibility

Since its founding in 1989, The Center for Haitian Studies, Health, and Human Services, Inc.
(CHS) has been a place of hope and empowerment for thousands of immigrants, refugees, and
underserved individuals in South Florida. With a deep passion for promoting well-being, the
Center ensures its services are accessible and delivered with the cultural sensitivity and
                compassion the community deserves.

CHS offers a broad range of health services, from primary care to mental health support,
HIV/AIDS prevention, and chronic disease management. It goes beyond healthcare - CHS
prepares individuals with the knowledge and tools to take control of their health and their future.
Fueled by the belief healthcare is a fundamental human right, the Center partners with local
providers and community stakeholders to ensure even the most marginalized receive the care
                they need.

CHS’s mission doesn’t stop at healthcare delivery. The Center actively advocates for policy
changes at local, state, and national levels, striving to dismantle systemic barriers that limit
equitable access to services. Whether it’s through research, collaborations with academic
institutions, or disaster response efforts in South Florida and Haiti, CHS is at the forefront of
                making a lasting impact.

Above all, CHS is a model of trust and support for the community, offering a safety net and a
foundation for long-term self-sufficiency and dignity. Driven by its unwavering commitment to
justice, equity, and opportunity, CHS continues to uplift the Haitian community with a passionate
                and personal touch.
