            India  is  home  to  numerous  landmarks  that  showcase  its  rich  history  and  cultural

            heritage. The descriptions of some notable landmarks are given below.

            1.       It  is  a  white  marble  mausoleum  built  by

                   Emperor  Shah  Jahan.  It  is  located  in  Agra.


            2.       It is situated in Delhi. It is a symbol of India’s
                   independence.

            3.       It is  located in Hyderabad, India. It was built
                   in  1591  by  Muhammad  Quli  Qutb  Shah,  the

                   founder of Hyderabad.

            4.       It is the tallest brick minaret in the world. It is
                   a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

            5.       It  is  known  as  the  ‘Palace  of  Winds,’.  It  is

                   located in Jaipur.
            6.      Its  full  name  is  Masjid-i  Jahan-Numa.  It  was

                   built by Emperor Shah Jahan. It is made of red
                   sandstone and white marble.

            7.       It was built to honour the Sun God, Surya. It is
                   situated in Odisha.


            8.       It  was  built  by  Emperor  Ashoka.  It  is  an
                   important site for Buddhist pilgrimage.
