We leaped for joy, Face masks covering the
And laughed with friends. Fragile future.
It won’t be too long, Finger-tips touching the
Like an endless holiday Glass to see close relatives.
I said, we said, they said Care homes caring about the elderly.
Time was slow motion but
I slept in until 10, Slowly the light
Then stayed in for work. Of the infected
Dreaming about a perfect time, Tunnel is showing.
This will blow over. We will get through this.

Look out the window
Change your plans

One piece of exercise a day
What A Year It Has Been
Now everyone is exercising,
To make it go away What a year it has been
Keep positive, not long Although Covid wants to play
I said, we said, they said But I’m not very keen
Even though I have all day.
The end of the year,
Is incredibly near, What a year it has been
And hope is still in our eyes, Though Covid has turned very mean
Boris must save this, beyond repair It’s acting like a moody teen.
I said, we said, they said
What a year it has been
We need a hair cut We’ve been through a lot
And the shops are shut, I think the cities shall gleam
Parents attempt to cut your hair, Just like a shiny pot.
No one will see it though.

So things we have seen
This is the new norm, I said We have to obey
This is the new norm, we said Even though we have all day.
