Translation: When translating, you move the graph up/down or sideways without changing the size or rotating the function.
REMEMBER:
For a function y = f(x)

If you want to sketch y = f(x) + h, it results in shifting the graph vertically by h units.
y = f(x) + h
It shifts the graph upwards by h units.

It shifts the graph downwards f(x)
• If you want to sketch y = f(x + h), it results in shifting the graph sideways by h units.
