X-values are shown at the top, and y-values are shown at the left side of the table. Based on the
table, answer the following questions.
1. X: 1, Y: –3
X at 1 has 29, 31, 33, 35, 37, 39 and 41
Y at –3 has 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31
The common and intersecting number is 29.
2. X: 0, Y: 0
Look at the intersection point when X and Y are both zero.
The answer is 34.
3. X: –1, Y: –2
Look at the intersection point when X is –1 and Y is –2.
The answer is 29.
The table you get in the real exam is much larger than the example. Mastering the table reading is all about speed, accuracy, and the ability to interpret the table quickly.
