Dividing decimals
Divide like whole numbers, except that if the divisor contains a decimal, move it to the right until it becomes a whole number. In this process, you will have to add the same number of zeros to the dividend
Worked Example 14
Divide 3 by 1.25
Solution:
Remove the decimal point from 1.25 by multiplying both the numbers by 100. So, it becomes 300 รท 125 = 2.4
