u On Tuesday, Dan drives to his office at 470 S. Patterson, at the end of the day, Dan drives to 89 S. Patterson to give Joe Petrie in the warehouse
a long distance high five for the WE CARE spirit demonstrated by the Warehouse and Courier Teams every day. Dan also stops at Sansum’s Urgent Care to thank the UC team for the WE CARE attitude with patients every day. Dan goes home after his long day. Dan’s drive to the office is 28 miles. His drive to 89 S. Patterson is .5 miles. His drive from 89 S. Patterson to our Urgent Care is 3.5 miles. His drive home from Urgent Care is 24 miles. Total drive is 56 miles.
u On Wednesday, Dan drives to Sansum’s Carpinteria location, spends the day there sharing Sansum’s WE CARE message, and drives home at the end of the day. Dan’s drive from Ventura to Carpinteria is 17 miles each way or 34 miles round trip.
u On Thursday, Dan drives from home to Foothill Surgery Center (FSC), shares more WE CARE spirit, drives to 470 South Patterson spends a productive day in his office, and then drives home. Dan’s drive to FSC from home is 27 miles. The trip from FSC to 470 S. Patterson Ave. is 5 miles. Dan’s trip home from his office 28 miles. Total drive is 60 miles.
u On Friday, Dan drives all the way to Solvang to share the WE CARE message from there he drives to RTCC for a long meeting, and he leaves at the end of the day and feeling good about a week where he got to see Sansum’s WE CARE culture at work all around our Clinic. The trip from Dan’s home to Solvang is 60 miles. The trip from Solvang to RTCC is 34 miles and the trip from RTCC to Dan’s home is 26 miles. Total drive is 120 miles.
WHAT SHOULD DAN’S MILEAGE REIMBURSEMENT BE?
MONDAY – this is Dan’s normal daily commute of 56 miles, so per the IRS, Dan is not eligible for any reimbursement.
TUESDAY – Total drive 56 miles, less normal commute of 56 miles. Mileage reimbursement due is zero.
WEDNESDAY – Total drive is 34 miles, less normal commute of 56 miles. Mileage reimbursement due is zero.
THURSDAY – Total drive is 60 miles, less normal commute of 56 miles. Mileage reimbursement due is 4 miles.
FRIDAY – Total drive is 120 miles, less normal commute of 56 miles. Mileage reimbursement due is 94 miles.
