Introducing Leads Group I
Glynis Mary McManamon, RGS, joined Leads Group I a few years back at the insistence of a
mentor/friend who happened to be a customer of ITS Computers’ staff member Guy Tinker, who
spoke highly of the Chamber and Leads Group I. “Sister Glynis” (as she prefers NOT to be called
– “Glynis” works best for her) had left the Greater North County Chamber of Commerce because
she did not see the value. Her friend offered to pay one year of membership and luncheons on
the condition that she would seek membership in a leads group.
Her organization, GSAC, had an art space at the time in Ferguson which closed during the pan-
demic. GSAC now has an office and exhibit space at St. Peter’s United Church of Christ Commu-
nity Resource Center in Ferguson. Membership in the Leads Group was one element that gave
her stability during the changing tides of pandemic times.
The value she has gotten from being in a Leads Group has included getting business advice,
help with decision making, support for projects and introductions to goods and services in the
community that best fit GSAC’s needs.
