This is the story of the apartment in downtown Johannesburg that, between the late 1940s and early 1960s, became a hub of resistance against apartheid. Nelson Mandela described it as the place where “the first seeds of non-racialism were sown and a wider concept of the nation came into being.” He was concerned that history accurately record the role played by all freedom-loving people towards the final liberation of the country.
On 21st of December 1988, a bomb on a Boeing 747 detonated at 31,000 feet killing 259 people on board and a further 11 on the ground. The sleepy Scottish town of Lockerbie suddenly became witness and victim to one of the worst terrorist attacks in history. This documentary, marking the 25th anniversary, will seek to provide a narrative of the disaster from those whom it touched the most.

The whole world watched Nelson Mandela walk to freedom in 1990. For many, it was their first glimpse of the famous political prisoner, as photographs of him were banned under apartheid. Using interviews with Mandela, the then president FW de Klerk, and journalists and cameramen there to cover the event. This is a dramatic, sometimes amusing account of how the world celebrated the release of a man who went on to become a global icon.

Tigers do more than just crouch in China. The Flying Tigers were US airmen who flew into China during the Second World War. Some say that their presence in the Far East was the final straw that led to Japan’s decision to attack Pearl Harbor. For six months, from December 1941 to June 1942, they provided a crucial last ditch aerial defence of China. Only fragments of their story have been told - until now.
