The Bay of Biscay is home to nearly a third of our planet’s 90 species of whales
and dolphins. But as many as 10,000 dolphins are washing up on French shores
every year. They are falling victim to commercial supertrawlers.
Known for its rough seas and violent storms, the Bay of Biscay is also home to

also renowned for a massacre worse than the Japanese and Danish slaughter
combined.

is being pulled in by the fishermen’s nets, to bring the matter to public attention WaterBear Network 2021
and to induce a change in the law and impose better regulations over fishing
practices in European waters.
