The largest single concentration of whooper swans in China live on a newly and unintentionally created wetland. A remarkable place in the heart of central China, Sanmenxia Wetland Park consists of a 385 square kilometer reservoir, two artificial lakes and surrounding wetlands. It is estimated that over 10,000 whooper swans inhabit the park. ‘China’s Swan Lake’ shows the lives of a whooper swans family that live on the lake along with invasive black swans and blue herons.
