REMEMBERING ONE OF OUR FRIENDS AND SPONSORS
RALPH BOCHSLER
As a Board we have been waiting, to be able, to honor this man! We lost him, during our forced break. We were so sad, when we got the news! We were even more sad, when later, we got news that his wife had passed also!
Ralph and Louise Bochsler have been a constant, at the Stampede each year! To not have them with us as, we come back, is heart breaking!
He would want you to know he was a devoted family man!
He would hope that you saw his faith, simply in the way he lived his life! He would show his love of this community, in the multiple ways he supported it!
He would want you to know, he had a love
for livestock, Red Angus Cattle in particular!
He would let others know; he was a PROUD supporter of the Stampede! He would let you know he had been with the rodeo since it
started! He would also tell you, that riding in the Stampede Cattle Drives, were some of his favorite times at the Stampede!
He would not want this story told! He would prefer to remain hidden in the background!
He would be upset, that we’re making a fuss! He would not want us to let you know, he helped us through a tough time, early in the Stampede.
He would NOT want you to know, that if not for him, we would not be here!!!
But we want you to know, it is simply the truth!
If not for him and one other businessman in our community, this event would not be here today!
They believed in a group of volunteers, who wanted to build an event, focused on the sport of Rodeo, filled with animal athletes, family fun, and entertainment, with a heart to give back to the community! By giving us the additional financial support, they allowed us to learn, grow, and time to build!
Ralph chose to support the Stampede since our start, and we are honored that his family and his company, are continuing that support!
As a Board we like to think of the Stampede as a family, and losing Ralph, truly feels like a piece of our heart is gone!
COWBOY’S PRAYER
Oh Lord, I reckon I’m not much by myself, I fail to do a lot of things I ought to do. But, Lord when trails are steep and the pass is high, help me ride it straight the whole way through and in the falling dusk, when I get the final call, I do not care how many flowers they send.
Above ALL, the happiest trail will be, for you to say to me
“LETS RIDE, MY FRIEND”
