There is a forerunner who has gone ahead of each of us in one area or another. Forerunners offer good examples that we should imitate
FOLLOW A CREDIBLE RELATIONSHIP
Imitation is driven by relationship. The relationship between two should determine who to imitate and who should not be imitated. Anyone worthy of being called a 'parent' should be imitated by the 'child.'
