BULLSEYE PRAYERS Whatever we need to secure from God is accomplished in our lives and on our behalf through the release of His power. When we pray, therefore, we secure the release of power to birth our desire. In Luke 18, the widow that Jesus spoke about in the parable, went to the judge to secure the release of superior power to subdue her adversary. She understood that what the judge possessed was the power to effect a forceful change in the circumstance that prevailed between her and the adversary. She understood that the word of the judge is power and if she could secure it, it would be released to effect a change in her circumstance. Prayer, therefore, secures what we refer to as power darts against specific targets of interest for us. Prayer causes God to activate these power darts on our behalf for accomplishment of our desires. Without abiding in the place of prayer, the widow could have no hope of turning the table around for her good and against her adversary. That was why she refused to accept no for an answer from the judge. Thankfully, we understand that we have a greater judge in the Almighty God who would speedily release such power darts against our adversary when we cry to Him. 23.
