YOUR KINGDOM COME The kingdom of God began to manifest with the coming of Jesus and the preaching and healing that characterised His ministry. However, it is yet to fully come! That is why it is important that we commit to praying for its full manifestation on the earth. The end will not come and Jesus will not return until the kingdom come, so to speak. Praying that the kingdom of God should come is praying to see the church of God manifest in the fullness of its glory. It is praying to see the Church fully and firmly established on the earth as one without spot or wrinkle or any such thing. It is praying that the church be fully “built up,” and have completely frustrated the gates of hell that has tried unsuccessfully to prevail against it. This is what Jesus expressed as the goal of His ministry: Matthew 16:18 NKJV And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. The Kingdom of God truly ‘comes’ when the church of christ is revealed in its true splendour as a glorious church! It will truly come when the church has been fully made up into that glorious 75.
